PropTech Finland ry, a non-profit association that has recently focused on background operations due to limited resources, has decided to integrate its operational activities into the KIRAHub innovation ecosystem. PropTech Finland’s mission – to unite the Finnish built environment startup community, promote entrepreneurship and support internationalization – will continue under the umbrella of KIRAHub.
KIRAHub, which promotes the sustainable digitalization of the built environment and broad-based collaboration, provides a natural home for the Finnish PropTech community. PropTech Finland will become one of KIRAHub’s thematic sub-ecosystems, led by steering groups formed through collaborative memberships.
“Despite the challenges in the construction sector, we want to highlight success stories and emphasize the expertise and export potential of Finnish PropTech companies,” says Teemu Lehtinen, CEO of KIRAHub. “Upcoming EU regulations will accelerate the adoption of many solutions where Finnish companies are pioneers. We aim to activate the ecosystem and attract new members during the fall,” continues Jaakko Jauhiainen, Chairman of the Board of PropTech Finland.
Several companies have already joined the PropTech Finland ecosystem steering group. The steering group’s organizational meeting will be held on September 17, 2024. Other KIRAHub sub-ecosystems include CO2 DataHub and Digital Building Permit. More information about the activities and membership of the sub-ecosystems can be found at www.kirahub.org
